Pietro Gargiulo is Professor of International Law at the University of Teramo. He is Chief Editor of the Journal ‘La Comunità Internazionale’, published by the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI), and since 1999 he has been Member of the Board of Editors of the Italian Yearbook of International Law. From 1998 to 2004 he held a Permanent Jean Monnet Course on EU Law at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Teramo. His research activity focuses on international peace-keeping and maintenance of security, human rights law, and international terrorism.
